For the past twenty five years, Richard has been connecting people and ideas. Creating events that bring people together to explore cutting edge socioeconomic, environmental, energy and political issues is an on-going passion and skill. These hands-on conferences, seminars, summits, policy forums and fundraisers are designed to be experiential and results-oriented. They have one theme in common: convening forward thinking people to accelerate progressive social and economic change. As my friend, political strategist Dan Carol noted, 'Richard is a man who stirs many drinks'. My network of leading business, environmental, labor, social justice, venture capital, foundation, academic and political leaders guarantees a brilliant exchange of ideas and possibilities. My services include: sculpting the agenda, moderating the program, recruiting speakers, securing sponsors and ensuring the participants find common ground. Recent Events: Good Jobs, Green Jobs National Conference, Washington DC, May 4-6, 2010 & February 4-6, 2009
Nearly 3,500 people, representing labor, business, social justice, youth and environmental organizations gathered at the Sheraton Hotel for the third annual conference. They included Obama Administration officials, various Senators, Governors and Congressional Representatives who discussed how the nation's environmental challenges can be used to drive economic development and create successful and profitable businesses. This year, I moderated a session on 'Green Jobs - The View from Business', with speakers: Jeffrey Hollender (Seventh Generation), Robin Roy (Serious Materials) and Tammy Halevy (Assoc. of Enterprise Opportunity). In 2009, I moderated two sessions: 'Investing in the Clean Energy Economy' and 'Putting Public and Labor Pension Capital into Clean Energy and Good Jobs'.
